On April 1, 2016 Black Stone Cherry (Chris Robertson - vocals, guitar/ben wells - guitar, vocals/Jonathan Lawhon - bass, vocals/John Fred young - drums, harmonica, vocals) released their critically acclaimed and commercially successful album 'Kentucky'. Supported with massive touring throughout the United States, Europe, and Australia, including headlining carnival of madness festival, the album reached new chart positions worldwide for the band. Even with a busy tour schedule, the band found time and inspiration to record 'Black to Blues, ' a sixsong covers ep, including classics by legendary blues musicians like willie dixon and booker t. Jones. By channeling their blues roots, these classics get black stone cherry-fied, while still paying homage to the original recordings.
