In the History of Greendale for Kids, Colette and Eileen Booth explain how Greendale, Wisconsin came to be. Greendale is one of three Greenbelt towns from the 1930Õs. In those days, President Roosevelt was struggling with how to help people during the Great Depression. The Great Depression meant that people didnÕt have jobs so they couldnÕt afford places to live. Roosevelt hired a smart team of people to create well-planned cities. This team, called his ÒbraintrustÓ created jobs by teaching people to build houses. These nice, comfortable and simple houses gave people fun and safe places to live. RooseveltÕs planners believed they could design a perfect community to help people. This community would be close knit, cooperative and embrace nature. There first planned communities were called Greenbelt communities. More were planned, but only three were built: Greenbelt, Maryland, Greenhills, Ohio and Greendale, Wisconsin.

Maybe for XL breeds.
Color: Green
This pull toy is too heavy for my 49 lbs Foxhound/Beagle mix. The “beads” are very sharp, and he didn’t want to put it in his mouth to chew on or play tag. I don’t think he’s picked it up since the first time I gave it to him. Extra large dogs may love it, but it was just too large and heavy for my dog. He was very unhappy with it.

Very sturdy toy
Color: Blue
It’s very sturdy and has a surface and handle that allows a dog to grip on for a good tug. It’s also holding up to my very, very aggressive chewer and she’s 80-90 lbs.

Great dog toy!
Color: Green
This is my third or fourth purchase of the same toy. My 45 lb super chewer dog loves to chew on this and especially likes to play tug of war. He is very rough on toys and most do not last longer than a few weeks. This toy lasts about 2 years - which is amazing considering my dog plays with it every day. Eventually it breaks in half during a tug of war session, but I don’t consider that a flaw or a problem because we definitely get our money’s worth of playtime! I’m happy to buy a new one every couple of years and I will keep buying it as long as it is available.
