This is a Red Gaiwan set, purely hand-made by Jingdezhen masters, who burned this set in kilns with temperatures as high as 1300 degrees Celsius. The colour red is a classic one in Chinese culture, due to it representing joyous occasions, like holidays, and elegance.
Normally, for cliff tea, the recommended tea to water ratio is around 8g to 100-120ml. This set can hold around 50ml of water, allowing you to split each 8g packet into 2 sets of 4g while brewing, hence being more efficient with the usage of this extravagant tea.
Note: The Gaiwan and the cup look very similar, with the former being taller and thicker. Also, when travelling, do remember to put a layer of cusioning, like bubble wrap, between the porcelain to prevent breakage.
