馬家麵線，創始人於民國初年由廈門落腳金門，現今馬家麵線已祖傳五代。一直以來深受推崇為金門麵線第一品牌。金門是花崗岩地形，過濾出來的地下水含豐富礦物質，配合當地獨特冬天北風、陽光自然曝曬乾燥，麵線不添加防腐劑、不漂白。另為增加麵線的口味變化，提升消費者購物選擇，藉此馬家麵線亦開發醬料多達十餘種，葷素皆俱，是佐餐拌麵的最佳伴侶。

金門屬於副熱帶海洋氣候，全年雨量稀少，平均年雨量不到1,100公釐，境內沒有高山，因此大陸東北季風直接吹襲，金門島內水氣蒸發量快速，有著製作麵線的優異條件。然而，飲食西化原因，如今吃麵線的人少了，麵線產業已不若往日之興盛矣。過去金寧鄉有上百家的手工麵線業者，集中在後浦、沙美一帶，曝曬在陽光下的金門麵線成了許多遊客拍攝的鏡頭。金門風大，日照強，擁有做金梭玉帛，牽絲如縷絕佳麵線的製作條件。

馬家麵線細白柔軟，帶著清淡的鹹味，吃起來滿滿金門豐富的閩南、僑鄉和戰地遺存代表性，真有一番風味，有滿滿天然的麵香味（那種老麵饅頭會有的麵香味）。
