For centuries, the Novarchs, descendants of the royal House of Novarchon, have ruled humanity's galactic empire, the Domineum, with an iron fist. During this time, they brought remarkable technological advancements and scientific breakthroughs to their domain. This accelerated progress helped the Domineum reach and colonize even the furthest reaches of the known galaxy, where new Houses emerged to rule the outer sectors of the Empire. As the House of Novarchon grew in power, so did the religious cult surrounding them, making dire predictions about an ancient cosmic being from another dimension: the Voidborn.

Many considered it just a myth, but in reality it was the dark influence of the Voidborn that gave the Novarchs the knowledge to accelerate the expansion of the empire. While the sect of the Novarchs dreamed of eternal life through the agency of the supernatural being, the Voidborn's sole purpose was to satisfy its eternal hunger. And so, interdimensional fissures opened in the heart of the Domineum to unleash cosmic corruption. As the House of Novarchon and its followers welcomed the Voidborn and sought their false redemption, the creature spread and seized control of the inner worlds. Now it's time for the remaining Great Houses to fight galactic corruption, prevent the Voidborn from fully manifesting in our dimension, and ultimately overcome the chaos and become the new rulers of the Domineum.

Voidfall is a 4X game that brings the genre to the tables of Euro enthusiasts. It combines the excitement and player interaction of the 4X genre with the resource management, informed decisions and minimal luck factor of an economic Euro. Win by pushing back the Voidborn in solo/co-op mode, or by overcoming the influence of your rivals and restoring the Domineum in competitive mode, with both modes using the same rules and game system. Variability is guaranteed by multiple playable houses with their own strengths and weaknesses, as well as many different map setups for all game modes.

As the leader, you'll play through three cycles, each with a game-changing galactic event, a new scoring requirement, and a set number of focus cards to play. By selecting two of their three impactful actions as you play them, you develop and improve technologies; make progress on your civilization tracks; manage the infrastructure, population and production of your sectors; and conquer your new sectors with up to five different types of space fleets. Space battles are fought against the infected forces of the Voidborn (who are even present as neutral opponents in competitive mode) or against other players. Instead of relying on the luck of a dice roll, the battles reward careful preparation and cleverly outsmarting your opponents.
