Die Glanzmispel muss nicht gestutzt werden. Für eine gute Form kann der Strauch im Frühjahr beschnitten werden. Der Strauch wächst am besten in der (halb-)vollen Sonne. Der Strauch wächst in jedem feuchten und wasserdurchlässigen Boden. Der Boden sollte in der ersten Zeit nach dem Pflanzen richtig feucht sein. In trockenen Zeiträumen mehr gießen
